MQ IS A GREAT PLACE TO BRING YOUR PUP!

It’s no secret we are dog people here at Mystic Quarry. With a fenced dog park, nature trail and dog wash station, we want your pup also to enjoy their stay with us!

Here are the latest updates on our dog-friendly accommodations. Some of our Tiny Houses are dog friendly for dogs under 30 pounds, our cut off used to be 25 pounds, so cue the happy dance for beagles, cocker spaniels and corgis! In some Tiny Houses, we do not allow pets in order to have allergy-friendly options as well. Because of the high demand for dog-friendly tiny houses, we have increased the number of dog friendly units. Now, we have TH 6, 8, 14, 15, 27, 28, 29 & 30 as dog friendly units up to 30# while TH 7, 17, 24, 25 & 26 remain allergy-friendly tiny house options.

Our cabins are the perfect option for pups of all sizes, and every cabin is, in fact, dog-friendly. We are still working hard on our new Glamping options (tipis and safari tents) to provide dog-friendly options as well. Keep a look out for upcoming blogs to highlight any additional changes. We are so excited to announce that there will be dog-friendly options so you won’t have to leave behind your furry friend! Stay tuned for more details: coming soon. Oh, and dogs are certainly welcome when tent camping or RVing!

While you are here in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, why not get out and explore with man’s best friend? Guadalupe River Trail is just a few miles from MQ and a lovely leisurely walk along the river. Another easy trail is located in Wimberley, at the Blue Hole Regional Park, and no need for reservations for using the nature trails.

Are you looking for something longer? Dogs can hike around the base of Enchanted Rock (a 4.6-mile loop), but you do need a reservation. Closer to Mystic Quarry is Guadalupe River State Park, which has many hiking options and is the best place to spot an armadillo!

There are also restaurants in the area that allow pets: Wildflour Artisan Bakery & Grill (great for brunch!) and Baja BBQ Shack (perfect place for a sunset dinner) are located here in Canyon Lake and allow dogs on the patio. In Wimberly, Community Pizza & Beer Garden is dog-friendly in and outside, delicious, and has a wide beer selection.

We can’t wait to have you & your family (because dogs are definitely a part of the family!) stay with us. Book your stay today!
