The Wine Lovers Guide to the Texas Hill Country

There are over 50 wineries throughout the Texas Hill Country. You read that right, FIFTY! It is no wonder vino enthusiasts love to stay at Mystic Quarry.

The Texas Hill Country offers an ideal environment for growing grapes with its rolling hills, hot, sunny weather, and rich, rocky soil. Texas vineyards feature many wines with native crops, and for a wine to carry the title “Texas Wine,” it must contain at least 75% native Texas fruit. Grapes from other regions like France and Spain can also be grown in the Texas Hill Country due to the ideal climate and soil. From light, fruity wine like Riesling, to full bodied reds like Merlot and Zinfandel, there is something for everyone!

With ten wineries and tasting rooms located in the downtown area and many vineyards throughout the city, this place is a must-see!
